【林明瑋／台北報導】10月24日對明年就要邁入80歲的義大利設計師Giorgio Armani來說，是值得慶祝的大日子，因為紐約市長彭博（Michael Bloomberg）宣布為「Giorgio Armani日」，以表揚Giorgio Armani與紐約長期友好關係，包括35年前在麥迪遜大道展店促進了經濟、資助紐約當地學校等。
 
Giorgio Armani表示：「對我來說真是相當特別的一天，我非常榮幸能得到這樣的榮耀。」晚間並將在紐約哈德遜公園的SuperPier舉辦慶祝活動，除了盛大派對，並展示Giorgio Armani從2005年至今的100套服裝，別具意義。
