數學科學能力　台獲季軍

【李忠謙／綜合報導】美國教育部昨公布2011年世界各國8年級學生的數學與科學能力排名，以了解美國8年級生的國際競爭力。結果南韓、新加坡、台灣、香港、日本包辦數學前5強。科學前5名依次為新加坡、麻州（美）、台灣、佛蒙特州（美）、南韓。台灣兩項均為季軍。

報告是由美教育部國家教育統計中心製作，調查美各州與世界38國的8年級生的數學與科學表現，但中、印、法、德的資料未列入統計。美國的部分以「國家教育進展評量」（NAEP）的評量結果為準，其他國家則採「國際數學與科學教育成就趨勢調查」（TIMSS）。
