【周佩萱／綜合外電報導】美國一女陸軍中士，得年28歲的金柏莉沃克，今年2月情人節時在科羅拉多一飯店被男友勒死，由於金柏莉從小就是海綿寶寶迷，她的家人決定幫她打造海綿寶寶墓碑，認為這是最好紀念金柏莉的方式。

家人先是詢問墓園能否放置海綿寶寶的墓碑，墓園表示沒問題，家人遂而請人製作，花費2萬6美元(約近77萬台幣)，打造出2個高逾180公分，重達3175公斤的海綿寶寶墓碑，一個身穿陸軍制服以紀念金柏莉，另一個則是身穿海軍制服，金柏莉的雙胞胎姊妹卡拉目前就是在海軍服役，這個月10日完工，在墓園豎起才一天，就遭園方以不妥當為由強制移除。

家人表示先前已取得墓園許可才動工打造，現在墓園卻反悔，讓他們無法接受，墓園方面表示願意負擔費用，打造合適的墓碑，雙方目前仍在調解中。
