強震襲菲 年輕媽媽順利產子

（中央社菲律賓卡拉普17日綜合外電報導）規模7.2強震襲擊菲律賓中部莫好島（Bohol）時，即將臨盆的卡拉巴納與母親正在山村的家中，片刻後，她感到腹部傳來一陣明顯劇痛，所幸寶寶稍後順利出世。

然而，除了行走幾公里下山至卡拉普（Calape）的醫院外，沒有其他尋求醫生協助的辦法。15日的強震重創卡拉普這座沿海城鎮，造成至少158人喪命，摧毀數以百計民宅和10多座百年教堂。

美聯社報導，這名19歲的年輕媽媽今天表示，「當時，我很擔心我的寶寶，因為我已經開始感到腹痛」。

當她抵達醫院時，卡拉巴納（Eileen RoseCarabana）發現病患都已撤離至戶外的帳篷，嗡嗡作響的發電機則為緊急醫療提供照明。

當她開始分娩時，卡拉巴納說，還能感受餘震帶來的地面搖晃；她表示，「我非常害怕，但我祈禱著，儘管災難當前，我只求能夠順產」。

她想起醫護人員的話：「只要用力和祈禱，用力和祈禱。」

15日晚稍後，卡拉巴納產下1名5.3磅（約2400公克）的健康寶寶，並取名為詹姆斯（James Lyndon）。

莫好島發生強震以來，卡拉普鎮已有5名年輕媽媽產下寶寶，卡拉巴納就是其中之一。1021017
