英研究：北極熊與棕熊雜交　生下雪人

【施旖婕／綜合外電報導】傳說中的喜馬拉雅山雪人，一直披著神秘面紗，但有科學家稱有突破性發展，透過DNA測試，相信雪人是遠古北極熊的後裔。

英國牛津大學人類學系教授希卡斯(Bryan Sykes)，將疑似是雪人的毛髮樣本，進行DNA測試，發現與一種在挪威出沒、大約有12萬年歷史的古代北極熊DNA非常吻合。希卡斯認為最合理的解釋，雪人可能是北極熊同棕熊雜交的後代。

不少住在喜馬拉雅山附近的居民或登山者，多年來都聲稱見過雪人出沒，但始終找不到具體證據。
