蟲蟲危機！？這位36歲生物學家艾倫(Jonathan D. Allen)某天感覺自己口腔怪怪的，不時有東西在舌頭與喉嚨間「蠕動」，仔細檢查赫然發現竟是一條蟲蟲寄生在艾倫口腔內。

根據美國《赫芬頓郵報》(The Huffington Post)報導，美國36歲的生物學家艾倫(Jonathan D. Allen)，去(2012)年12月開始感覺到口腔怪怪的，不時有東西在喉嚨、舌頭蠕動，但不管從外觀如何檢查都查不出究竟是什麼原因。

經過3個月後，艾倫求助牙醫，牙醫建議他做個口腔手術，熱愛研究的他仔細端詳口腔照片，他懷疑在嘴裡不停蠕動的可能是條寄生蟲。隔日，艾倫在妻子的協助下，用鑷子把這條透明的小小寄生蟲從嘴裡夾了出來。

報導指出，目前艾倫將這條蟲蟲收藏起來並進行研究。此外，這起特殊的案例成為醫學界新興的研究對象。
