28歲女獲布克獎　成最年輕得主

【吳貞儀／綜合外電報導】英語文學界最高榮譽「布克獎」(Man Booker Prizes)15日揭曉，28歲的紐西蘭新秀女作家艾蓮諾卡頓（Eleanor Catton）以小說《發光體》獲獎，成為布克獎最年輕得主。這本長達832頁的犯罪懸疑小說，也是歷來篇幅最長的得獎作品。評審形容此書「令人讚嘆、耀眼且引人入勝」。

《發光體》（The Luminaries，暫譯）是卡頓第2本小說，描述1800年代中期紐西蘭淘金熱期間，懷抱發財夢的主角被捲入一樁神秘謀殺案。評審團主席麥法蘭說：「《發光體》結構錯綜複雜，敘事引人入勝，並神奇地召喚出貪婪與黃金交織的世界。」
