【大紀元2013年10月13日訊】（BBC 中文網）新近由福岡轉駐沖繩縣的日本海上保安廳「沖繩」號據報已經從駐地前往日方所稱的尖閣諸島海域巡邏。

由於「沖繩」號配備了直升機，因此日方巡邏中方所稱的釣魚島、台灣所稱的釣魚台列島，進入了海空立體巡邏的時代。

原稱「築前」號的「沖繩」號巡邏艦，是日本在1980年代設計建造「輕津」級3100噸巡邏艦。

艦上配備有直升飛機，並有一座快炮；1983年下水服役的「築前」曾經在1999年能登半島水域，以機槍射擊意圖滲透的朝鮮間諜船，因此被稱為「功勳船」。

在中日釣魚島主權爭議逐漸升高的當下，日本鑒於中國派遣大型海警船至該水域巡邏已經成為常態，有必要加強當地的巡邏能力。

今年9月海上保安廳將「築前」號轉駐負責釣魚島海域巡邏、但只有一艘配備直升機巡邏艦的日本第十一海上保安部，並改名為「沖繩」號。
