45年老經驗　「抽象式」雕刻出台灣古早味

【邱中岳／台北報導】抽象雕刻，形塑台灣傳統！台北市1名雕刻師傅楊朝舜（60歲），在故宮博物院旁的工作室從事雕刻藝術，一雕就是45個年頭，特別的是楊師傅的刀法都以「抽象式」雕刻為主，簡化繁雜的刀工程序，簡單勾勒出作品的神韻，「讓作品自己說話」。
 
楊朝舜從小就跟著兄長在廟裡刻做神像、神柱，所以耳濡目染之下投身雕刻藝術，主要用樟木、烏心石、梢楠木以及檜木等四種木材作為材料，雕刻出許多栩栩如生的作品；但楊朝舜也感嘆，因為木頭10年來漲了快10倍，幸好早期有買起來存放，不然早就無法再雕刻這些藝術品。
