布朗將成任期最長的加州州長

【大紀元2013年10月07日訊】加州州長傑里‧布朗（Jerry Brown）到下週一（10月7日）將創造加州新的紀錄，成為任職最長的州長。

目前，任職時間最長的加州州長是厄爾‧沃倫（Earl Warren），長達10年之久。沃倫在1943年1月到1953年10月擔任州長，然後進入了美國聯邦最高法院。傑里‧布朗具有政治家的家庭背景，他的父親埃德蒙‧布朗（Edmund G. Brown）也曾經擔任過兩任州長。

布朗也曾是美國第二年輕的州長，1975年當他第一次當選時才36歲，當時他擔任2屆任期8年。他在2011年以72歲的高齡再次執掌加州。

他能夠再次當選州長，是因為他第一次當選時，加州還沒有州長任期限制的規定。
