【簡嘉宏╱綜合外電報導】美國密蘇里州男子威爾斯（Johnny Wells）因罹患慢性阻塞性肺部疾病(Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, COPD)臥病多年，知道自己時日不多，日後無法牽著10歲的愛女娜珂（Nakeol）走紅毯，因此與妻子商量，在他的病床前先預演娜珂的婚禮。
 
根據美國《赫芬登時報》4日的報導，威爾斯當天準備了戒指，也換上了西裝，身穿潔白禮服的娜珂也捧著一束花，在病床前預演了她的婚禮，並套上父親為他準備的婚戒，娜珂也答應父親，會找一個好男人（godly man）託付終身，過程令人感動。
