愛爾蘭舉行公投　決定是否廢除上議院

【林奐成╱綜合外電報導】愛爾蘭總理肯尼（Enda Kenny）提案廢除國會上議院，希望藉此為政府省下數千萬歐元的支出，該國因此於當地時間周五舉行公民投票表決此案。初期計票顯示，反對與同意的票數差距有限，尚無法確定公投結果。
 
法新社報導，肯尼日前稱上議院是「菁英主義而不民主」，廢除該機構可為國家省下每年約2000萬歐元（近8億台幣）的支出。在已經開出部份票數的地區，有57%民眾反對提案，43%贊同。另有國會議員稱，首都都柏林的許多地區，反對票數將多過贊成票。
