【綜合報導】針對監聽案爭議，總統馬英九2日上午接受台北之音「蔻蔻早餐」節目專訪，還原檢察總長黃世銘跟他報告監聽案的過程，還強事件發生後母親秦厚修和妻子周美青，對他都十分支持。
 
馬英九透露，8月31日檢察總長黃世銘帶著報告求見，當時兩人一對一會談約40分鐘，沒有幕僚在旁，也沒留下會議紀錄。由於太過震驚，馬英九於是緊急打電話給行政院長江宜樺及總統統副秘書長羅智強，要兩人在晚上10點多進官邸會商，但馬英九澄清，絕對沒打電話給金溥聰。隔天9月1日，馬英九二度約見黃世銘，馬英九表示，是因為報告有些看不懂，兩人在下午1點左右，再度1 對1會談約半個小時。
 
馬英九也表示，除了太太周美青支持，馬媽媽也有打電話關心，他也曾打電話向連戰、吳伯雄等黨內大老解釋，但私人通話內容不能透露。
