【李光濱／花蓮報導】東華大學理工一館材料系實驗室上午發生火警，消防隊獲報到場搶救，經排出室內濃煙把火撲滅，無人傷亡，起火原因待查。

東華大學理工一館材料系實驗室，今天上午9時許傳出火警，消防局獲報後出動6輛水箱車前往現場灌救，但因實驗室冒白煙，加上堆放強酸、強鹼等化學物質，消防隊員不敢貿然進入火場，直到將濃煙排出後才進入實驗室將火勢撲滅。

花蓮消防分隊長陳秋銘表示，初步調查起火位置在實驗室排風櫃附近，因附近放置有不少化學物品，是如何引發火災仍有待調查，所幸多數學生已放假返鄉，未造成人員傷亡。
