【綜合報導】英國一名女嬰一出生就有一對下門牙，嚇得本來計劃餵母乳的母親打消念頭。

現年26歲的維琪格里夫斯，8日產下重3288公克的寶寶伊芙，最初沒有人發現她的一對胎生齒，父親無意間發現女兒已經長牙，告知媽媽後兩人都爆笑。維琪說寶寶一張嘴我們都嚇了一跳，維琪擔心寶寶掉牙，可能導致寶寶哽住窒息，不過醫生表示寶寶的牙沒有鬆脫的危險。

專家指出，每2千至3千個嬰兒中，就會有一個出生時有胎生牙，通常長在下牙齦，由於結構不完整，並不穩固，餵哺母乳時可能弄痛母親，寶寶的舌頭也可能受傷，醫生在嬰生出生後，通常會拔掉胎生齒，以確保安全。
