【綜合報導】台中市太平警分局偵查隊鑑識小組巡官吳竣嘉，十一日凌晨與偵查隊同仁聚餐後，堅持騎車返回租屋處，途中機車擦撞人行道，頭部撞上消防栓不治，酒測值一點二五毫克。

太平警分局偵查隊長許銀說，當天吳竣嘉（23歲）休假，和同樣休假的偵查隊小隊長林永裕、及鑑識小隊成員共五、六人，在太平東平路一家薑母鴨店吃消夜，凌晨一時許，友人提議「續攤」，吳男堅持要騎車回東區租屋處，沒想到騎不到三公里，就在太平區東平橋前擦撞人行道邊緣翻車，安全帽脫落，頭部撞上消防栓，經送往台中國軍總醫院急救，還是在當天晚上十時許，因腦幹損傷不治。
