【綜合報導】日本漫畫《龍櫻》講述主人翁櫻木老師跳脫教科書範圍，教導學生課本以外的知識，甚至讓學校成為升學名校。其實這號人物在日本真實世界裡確實存在，而他就是被日本人譽為「傳說中的國文老師」橋本武，而橋本武已在前天下午於神戶的醫院去世，享年101歲。

橋本武的教師生涯長達50年，他在1934年到兵庫縣的私立灘校擔任國文老師，但他在教壇中最著名的，就是不用教課書上課，他讓學生花3年時間精讀經典名著《銀之匙》，並在課堂上設計國文的學習遊戲，一度讓灘校成為考上日本第一志願東京大學最多人的學校，從此打響灘校的名號。

日本知名已故作家遠藤周作也是橋本的學生，他曾形容橋本的教學風格開放，但是位非常嚴格的老師。
