《美國經濟》稅收增支出減，8月預算赤字年減22%

美國財政部公佈8月份(2013會計年度第11個月)政府預算赤字縮小，年減22.4%至1,479.23億美元，主要受惠於稅收成長而支出減少。照趨勢推估，當年度赤字總額有望創下2008年以來最低紀錄。

數據顯示，8月份稅收年增3.6%至1,853.7億美元，而支出由去年同期的3,693.9億美元降至3,332.9億美元。

累計本會計年度前11個月，預算赤字總額為7,553.6億美元，遠低於去年同期的1兆1643.7億美元。國會預算辦公室預測9月份預算將轉盈，因此屆時赤字總額將進一步縮小。

不過，美國已瀕臨舉債上限16.7兆美元，財政部長Jacob J. Lew 8月26日曾致信國會議員，希望儘早協商提高上限，否則國庫將在10月中見底。
