【綜合報導】多年以來，神秘的美國「51區」（Area 51）充滿各種關於外星人的傳聞，但是否真的存在沒人知道。美國中央情報局（CIA）在最近解密的文件中，首次承認了「51區」的存在，但沒有提到該區曾有不明飛行物（UFO）墜毀，或曾抓到黑色大眼的外星人。
 
美聯社報導，喬治華盛頓大學的「國家安全檔案」日前取得CIA關於51區的歷史資料，美國軍方曾在美蘇冷戰期間，於51區進行機密軍事計畫：超高空飛行間諜機U-2的開發與測試。
 
這份報告有許多地方被塗黑，但已引發UFO愛好者的討論。這份文件證明51區存在，代表未來可能會有更多關於51區的機密檔案公諸於世。
