國內出現全球首例錢鼠感染狂犬病個案，狂犬病恐有跨物種傳播趨勢；衛生福利部與農委會緊急放寬人用狂犬病疫苗接種對象，即日起不限地點，民眾只要遭野生哺乳動物或流浪貓狗咬傷，就可免費接種疫苗。

因應此波疫情，疾管署也緊急採購兩萬劑人用狂犬病疫苗，預計8月底前累積疫苗可達45740劑。
