狂犬病死灰復燃　桃機檢疫單位嚴陣以待

【黃仲明／桃園機場報導】在台絕跡52年的狂犬病又現蹤跡。農委會證實去年中至今年初，在南投魚池鄉、鹿谷鄉和雲林古坑發現的3隻病死鼬獾，判定為染狂犬病死亡，人若遭染狂犬病毒動物咬傷，死亡率近百分之百。
 
今午2時許，有5隻成犬自香港搭機托運來台，動植物防疫檢疫局駐桃園機場人員在現場登記之後，將5隻成犬送往台大動物醫院隔離觀察21天，確認沒有感染狂犬病之後將交還飼主。
