以色列報紙Calcalist報導披露，蘋果已私下接觸以色列公司PrimeSense並表達併購意願，知情人士指出，收購價碼約2.8億美元。

PrimeSense是3D感測與辨識技術大廠，2010年曾引發熱潮的微軟知名動態感測器Kinect就是PrimeSense的體感晶片。

據報導，蘋果某些正在設計、開發中的產品需要採用PrimeSense傳感及識別技術，與其像微軟一樣取得技術授權，蘋果傾向直接買下整間公司。

以色列科技公司近年來頻頻被蘋果看上，去年蘋果也花了4億美元買下以色列快閃記憶體晶片商Anobit。
