（法新社加州幻象農場8日電）反種族隔離政策英雄、南非前總統曼德拉（Nelson Mandela）肺部感染住院，美國白宮今天發表聲明，祝曼德拉早日康復。

曼德拉下個月滿95歲。他日前被送往普勒托利亞（Pretoria）1家醫院，這也是他7個月來第4度入院。發言人說，曼德拉的情況「嚴重但穩定」。

美國國家安全會議（NSC）發言人海登（CaitlinHayden）表示：「曼德拉養病期間，我們會惦記著他，並替他、他的家人和南非祈禱。」

美國總統歐巴馬正結束與中國大陸國家主席習近平為期兩天的非正式會談。歐巴馬經常稱曼德拉為勵志人物。（譯者：中央社張詠晴）
