Sony PlayStation 3 可能是世上最多人用的 Netflix 串流媒介，但這不等待 Sony 要局限 PlayStation 使用同一款串流服務吧？在 E3 上 Sony 宣佈他們的 PlayStation 3、PlayStation 4 和 PlayStation Vita 都將會支援 Redbox Instant 和 Flixter 兩款串流服務。不過他們沒有指出服務會在何時推出，只是確定了他們的 Music Unlimited 和 Video Unlimited 兩款 app 都將會在 PlayStation 4 上市時即時提供服務。另外，Sony Entertainment 的主管 Michael Lynton 也在台上指出他們將會為 PlayStation 4 和 PlayStation Network 提供由 Sony 親自操刀的原創「程序編制」，只是沒有為這個服務給出多少解釋，暫時唯有等待 Sony 在稍後公佈更多內容吧。
