高架橋移動縮時攝影

美國波特蘭這座建於1925年的高架橋，塞爾伍德橋(Sellwood Bridge)，因負荷不了每天乘載3萬台車流量，80年代開始出現裂痕，隨後當局禁止卡車，巴士和消防車等大型車輛在橋上行駛，但憂心行車安全問題，當地政府最後決定建蓋新橋，不過長335公尺的舊橋一體成型，如何移走成為大問題。

工程人員的解決方式，相當讓人嘆為觀止，在舊橋旁另外打造軌道，鋪上鐵氟龍墊，並灌入肥皂水，讓高架橋變得濕滑，再利用起重機將高架橋吊起，放在特製滑板上，接著出動第二輛起重機，一點一點慢慢推動高架橋，讓它能滑動移位，整個工程費時超過14個小時才完成，至於新的高架橋預計2015年才會通行。
