美防長黑格 視察首艘近岸作戰艦

（法新社美國軍艦自由號2日電） 美國國防部長黑格（Chuck Hagel）今天造訪部署在新加坡的美國軍艦自由號（USS Freedom），這艘近岸作戰艦是華府「重返亞洲」戰略的象徵。

黑格在自由號艦橋上對官兵說：「你們在這裡創造歷史。你們所代表的意義，對我們在亞太地區的夥伴關係無比重要。」

美國海軍計劃建造52艘近岸作戰艦，共將耗資370億美元。雖然有開發問題，但近岸作戰艦代表美國海軍終極的多功能艦艇。自由號是第一艘近岸作戰艦。
