針對毒澱粉事件，台南市長賴清德上午宣布，將不再配合衛生署的行政查驗工作，即不再要求八大類小吃業者張貼原料合格證明，他認為此舉不僅擾民，而且效果不佳，非常容易做假，將向衛生署建議，效法台南目前的作法，從原料源頭管制來做。

衛生署要求各縣市從6月1日起，清查全台的八大類小吃，必須張貼原料檢驗合格證明，目前已有桃園縣的業者因未張貼，而被依違反食品衛生管理法開罰。
