美國 9 月份的整體資本財貨 (capital goods) 訂貨，出現比原先預測更大幅度的衰退。這顯示，由於當時美國府會為債限問題對峙僵持，讓國債面臨違約的隱憂，使得企業紛紛削減投資計劃。

【葉國吏／綜合報導】黑心油風暴延燒，頂新集團也有使用大統黑心油卻不在第一時間坦承，引發各界抨擊。
頂新集團今天在四大報刊登半版聲明致歉，聲明中表示，雖然在大統黑心油爆發時，第一時間就主動封存相關油品，並送驗合格，但是卻直到11月3日才將商品下架，對此造成延誤深表歉意。味全董事長魏應充也在網站上PO上影片向社會大眾致歉。
