對於媒體報導，馬英九主席曾致電國民黨立委「要求力挺黃世銘」。國民黨發言人楊偉中表示，馬主席確實有在不同場合與黨內幹部交換意見，希望大家「尊重司法、尊重司法官」。
國民黨指出，民進黨立法委員柯建銘，身為關說案當事人，卻利用立法院司法及法制委員會等議事殿堂，羞辱檢察體系、踐踏司法尊嚴；國民黨自應捍衛司法尊嚴，維護司法獨立。
