墾丁業者近來引進國外熱門的水上新活動-「海上鋼鐵人」，在海上一飛沖天，也能利用水的推力進行花式表演，由於業者沒有提出申請，墾管處以活動危險為由，禁止營業，並且將對業者開單告發，處3千元罰款，對此，業者深表不滿。
一飛沖天，水上鋼鐵人超炫，但是要能飛這麼高，甚至空中翻轉，可得經過一段時間的操控、平衡訓練，初學者很容易像這樣，吃水吃到飽！墾管處育樂課課長林文敏：「依據國家公園開罰3千元罰金，因為遊客不熟悉，容易重心不穩摔下來。」
因為這從法國引進的飛行板，並非像水上摩托車或衝浪板一樣，是墾丁水域經過許可的正面表列活動，業者也沒提出申請，加上南灣已沒有特定水域可以容納，缺乏訓練規範，墾管處決定告發取締！業者：「外國都有在做了，墾丁怎可沒有？」
