 太空之謎／熱空氣不會上升！國際空間站太空燃燒實驗

據美國太空網報導，美國航太總署在太空『玩火』——光從字面上看，的確是這樣。從2009年3月以來，美國航太總署的火焰熄滅實驗裝置(FLEX)已經完成超過200項實驗，以研究火焰在微重力環境下的行為，目前科學家們對這一課題還知之甚少。這一研究的成果將幫助在未來太空飛船上安裝更加有效的滅火系統，並且也將可能幫助改善地球上目前使用的消防滅火系統。
據人民網報導，在一份聲明中，該專案負責人，美國加州大學聖迭戈分校的福爾曼·威廉姆斯(Forman Williams)表示：『我們希望能加深對液滴燃燒的理解，提升飛船用火安全並幫助改善地面上燃料使用的效率。這些實驗中取得的資料將被用來驗證數字模型中對不同環境下液滴燃燒的類比結果。』
在太空環境下，火的表現與地面完全不同。當火焰在地面環境燃燒時，高溫使空氣受熱上升，周圍的空氣流動補充，並將燃燒的產物帶離火焰附近。而在微重力環境下，熱空氣不會上升。此時一種完全不同的，被稱作『分子擴散』的機制控制著整個燃燒過程。

| 劉德華扮盲探 能聽音辨位

【楊景婷／台北報導】劉德華（華仔）在新片《盲探》挑戰盲人，開拍前特地到盲人輔導中心學習2個月，每天至少4小時，不僅將盲人手杖運用自如，可摸出26個字母，也練就閉眼可以聽音辨位的技巧，他說：「戲剛拍完時，我還會不自覺用手代替眼睛，到處摸。」
華仔觀察盲人，發現他們很少戴墨鏡，「盲人其實希望其他人覺得他們能看到，所以我演出時，是朝這個方向努力」。華仔表示自己對《盲探》表現很滿意，還笑說：「這絕對會是代表作！」該片將於7月26日在台上映。
