新州連續第六個月收入超目標
新州5月份再次超出州長克里斯蒂當局制定的收入目標，為連續第六個月創此佳績。其中超過一半的收入來自個人收入稅及銷售稅，這意味著州居民經濟條件的好轉。今年個人收入稅增加13%，銷售稅增加3%。儘管如此，州收入（227.7億）只比政府收入目標（226.9億）高出不到1%，主要原因是本財政年度早期收入不佳。

【大紀元2013年07月06日訊】（大紀元記者葉淑貞編譯報導）當今的美國已成為「育兒熔爐」，美國媽媽們正導入全球其他文化中最好的育兒方法，如法國的放任主義、冰島給孩子的足夠空間，以及中國「虎媽」的無情強制等。不只在美國，全球各地的媽媽們也都非常關心育兒的問題。為此，不少育兒方面的書籍最近相繼出爐，其所涵蓋的區域，除了西方工業化國家之外，也跨越到其他過去較少關注的地區。
育兒取經跨文化
《今日美國》報導，自2003年便開始研究美國等9個國家育兒問題的杜克大學兒童與家庭政策中心教授珍妮弗．蘭斯福德（Jennifer Lansford）說，大多數育兒的研究來自於西方工業化國家，並把「世界上絕大多數的兒童」排除在外，但這種現象已經開始發生變化了。
