| 天空如末日～英國垃圾廠發生火災 濃煙滾滾

據英國《每日郵報》7月1日報導，英國伯明罕郡斯梅西克的一個垃圾回收場在當地時間6月30日晚上發生火災，火焰衝上6000英尺(約合1828公尺)的高空，當地派出200多名消防員、35輛消防車參與滅火。當地一名消防員稱，這是該地有史以來最大的一次火災。
據人民網報導，《每日郵報》刊登了一組火災現場的照片，並將其描述為『地獄般』、『世界末日般』的場景。報導稱，這個回收場有10萬噸塑膠回收物，著火的回收物如同『火焰山』般矗立在消防員的面前，騰升至1828公尺的高空，80英里外的地方都能夠看到濃煙大火。據估計，這次火災造成600萬英鎊的損失。
參與滅火的消防員中，有3人被送醫，另有8人受傷。受到震驚的當地居民稱，6月30日晚上11點左右，火災發生時猶如動作大片裡的場景。7月1日，被燒毀的建築物殘骸仍在燃燒，滅火總指揮部警告稱，大火可能會持續燃燒一周。
