| 馬英九總統「臉書」談七七抗戰 強調歷史真相不能遺忘

（軍聞社記者林宜慶臺北七日電）今日是七七抗戰七十六週年，馬英九總統在他的「臉書」facebook強調，歷史的錯誤或可原諒，但真相卻不能遺忘。七十六年前的今天，盧溝橋事變揭開我國對日抗戰序幕，國軍在裝備落後、實力不足的劣勢下浴血苦戰，犧牲了三百廿二萬官兵，包括兩百多位將領，人民的死亡估計更在二千萬以上。這些不屈不撓、可歌可泣的壯烈事蹟，在今天讀來，仍然令人熱血沸騰、肅然起敬。
馬總統指出，事變爆發後十日，政府在江西廬山發表聲明強調「地無分南北，年無分老幼，無論何人，皆有守土抗戰之責任，皆應抱定犧牲一切之決心」。這份聲明振奮了全國軍民士氣，激發無比的精神戰力。全面應戰後國軍採用「以空間換取時間」的持久戰略，並迫使日軍翻轉歷史上外族慣用的揮兵由北方南下的作戰軸線，改為由東向西較為不利的仰攻；而「淞滬會戰」讓日軍付出極大代價，耗時超過三個月，粉碎日本「三月亡華」迷夢，大大打擊日軍士氣。
馬總統表示，此一戰略不僅使我國奠定長期抗戰基礎，更因牽制大量日軍在中國戰場，而削弱日本在太平洋戰爭投入的兵力，而獲得盟國支持，進而在後期得以扭轉情勢、取得最後勝利。
