| 飛機上有鼠！空姐被誣陷底褲夾帶竉物鼠上機

美國航空一名愛好動物的空姐，被同事指偷帶她養的老鼠上機，藏於底褲和絲襪。指控令她每次過境都受到海關刁難。她表示因此精神受創傷，入稟紐約一個法院向美航索償。
美國《紐約郵報》周日報導，55歲的吉安巴迪斯塔（Louann Giambattista）熱愛動物，有養狗、沙鼠、倉鼠。根據法庭文件，吉安巴迪斯塔稱去年一名機師見到她的衣袋隆起，認為她藏了一隻活生生的寵物；另外一名同事一次見她用紙杯包着麵包來吃，指她必定是要餵她的老鼠。同事的指控令美國航空對她「另眼相看」，而海關把她列入黑名單一年多，每次過關都要接受冗長的搜查，當局更威脅她每次過關都要裸檢，令她幾乎無法準時值班。雖然每次都搜不出老鼠，但美航又拒絕將她調往國內航班。
此空姐的代表律師抨擊同事指控太荒謬，她並非「瘋婦」，不可能偷帶鼠上機。

| 巴布亞紐幾內亞 7.2強震

美國地質調查所（USGS）表示，7.2規模強震8日凌晨侵襲大洋洲國家巴布亞紐幾內亞（Papua New Guinea）東北部。
這起地震於當地時間8日凌晨4時35分發生，侵襲地點在巴布亞紐幾內亞新愛爾蘭島塔隆鎮東北方110公里處。震源深度379公里，有關部門沒有發布海嘯預警。
