| 唐氏症基金會庇護商店進駐五星級酒店

【張勵德／台北報導】日前麥當勞高雄門市爆發歧視唐氏症女子事件，引來社會大眾對唐寶寶的關心，台北美麗信花園酒店以行動支持唐氏症基金會，主動邀請該會經營的「愛不囉唆庇護商店」免費進駐酒店內的「九宮格點心坊」設立專櫃，販售唐寶寶製作的「愛不囉嗦」手工香皂、餅乾、麵條禮盒等商品，成為國內庇護商店進駐五星級酒店的首例。
唐氏症基金會執行長林美智表示，麥當勞事件後，有許多民眾、商家及企業主動向基金會洽詢，希望能提供協助，這次庇護商店的商品能夠進駐五星級酒店，是從來不敢想像的好事，也證明社會上有許多的愛心企業願意協助唐寶寶。而今年以來景氣不佳，1到5月基金會的收入比去年同期短少了400萬元，期盼有更多愛心民眾能以實際行動支持庇護商店的產品，讓全台3萬多名的唐寶寶都能穩定就業。
