過了端午節，天氣逐漸燠熱，如果經常睡眠不足，水量與蔬果攝取不充分，很容易罹患毛囊炎。
毛囊炎為化膿性球菌侵入毛囊或毛囊周圍的炎症，多發生於頭頸的後枕部、臀部。發在頭部者，稱為髮際瘡，發在臀部者，稱為坐板瘡。
《醫宗金鑑˙外科心法》：髮際瘡生項後髮際，形如黍豆，頂白肉赤堅硬，痛如椎刺，癢如火燎，破津膿水，亦有浸淫髮內者。坐板瘡一名風疳，生於臀腿之間，形如黍豆，色紅作癢，甚則焮痛，延及穀道，勢如火燎。
