夏威夷航空今日首航台北，台灣，除了擴大其國際飛航網絡之外，並增添第七個亞洲航點。夏威夷航空於首航HA807航班的登機門前舉行了慶祝活動，包括:輕柔悅耳的夏威夷音樂、熱情的呼拉舞表演、台灣特色文化表演、傳統夏威夷祈福儀式，以及獻上花環給搭乘首航班機的旅客。
首航班機嘉賓之一的夏威夷州長Neil Abercrombie、駐檀香山台北經濟與文化辦事處處長V.C. Chu與夏威夷航空副總裁兼首席商務長Peter Ingram均到場參與此一盛會。
夏威夷航空公司總裁兼執行長Mark Dunkerley表示，“台灣前往夏威夷的市場需求一直在增長，我們很高興能提供直航的新服務，以滿足台灣旅客濃厚的興趣。”他指出“夏威夷群島是個最佳的轉運點，完美的銜接台北與美國十一個城市，可提供旅客雙目的地的旅行。
