| IBM硬體員工被迫減薪休假1周

【連欣儀／綜合外電報導】由於伺服器等硬體需求走疲，為降低成本，全球最大電腦服務供應商IBM（International Business Machines，國際商業機器），要求美國硬體事業多數員工減薪休假1周，期間薪資將僅領原本的1/3，主管級人員則放1周無薪假。
IBM系統及技術部發言人卡莫斯（Jay Cadmus）表示，IBM已要求該部門美國員工，包括研發以及採購人員等，自8月24日或31日起，休長達1周的減薪假。

| 香港的士泡沫成形 牌價可買市區住房

【實習記者陳雪蕾／綜合外電報導】香港炒風四起，繼股票、房地產之後，的士（計程車）市場也受追捧，市區的士牌價6月初衝上766萬港元（98.76萬美元，2962萬元台幣），創2000年有紀錄以來新高，「的士泡沫」儼然成形。
香港市區的士牌價8月雖小幅回落至710萬港元（91.54萬美元，2746萬元台幣），但今年來屢創新高，較2009年金融海嘯低點大漲80%，至今維持在700萬港元以上，價值相當於可在香港市區購買約17坪的私人住宅，成為香港房價走疲、港股走軟下的熱門投資。
