【綜合報導】苗栗大埔強拆爭議持續延燒，「捍衛苗栗青年聯盟」發起《0816 拆政府‧守護苗栗音樂晚會》，邀請全國人民挺大埔，更呼籲苗栗人民站出來。
「捍衛苗栗青年聯盟」在臉書上發文表示，苗栗從竹南大埔、後龍灣寶，到天花湖水庫預定地...等地方，被劉政鴻及既得利益集團，假「開發」之名，踐踏人民土地和生命，讓苗栗人忍無可忍、退無可退。「捍衛苗栗青年聯盟」表示，晚會當天要告訴劉政鴻，「苗栗要發展，但不是圖利少數、不公不義的發展；苗栗要進步，但不是踐踏人民、債留子孫的進步」，「苗栗的未來，要讓苗栗人自己決定」。
