| 海地要台投資觀光計劃 馬總統：再評估

【陳郁仁／海地報導】總統馬英九出訪中南美洲的「賀誼之旅」，今來到海地，他是兩國建交五十七年來，第一個造訪海地的中華民國總統。馬總統下飛機後就與海地總統馬德立進行雙邊會談。總統府發言人李佳霏會後轉述，馬德立提出希望台商投資海地的觀光計畫；馬總統回應，這部分請我駐海地大使評估，然後在台灣辦理說明會，邀台商一起尋找更多投資機會。
馬總統在會談中說希望海地能在國際場合，共同推動讓中華民國有意義參與國際組織及活動，他也邀馬德立到中華民國訪問；馬德立回他，會盡快找個合適的時間，來台訪問。

| 審薄前海伍德家人索賠 薄案添變 海被滅口涉機密

【大紀元2013年08月14日訊】（大紀元記者黃清綜合報導）就在薄案即將開審前夜，被薄谷開來毒害身亡的英國商人尼爾•海伍德(Neil Heywood)的家人打破沉默，高調要求中共當局賠償。7月25日，北京宣佈以「受賄、貪污和濫用職權」公訴薄熙來，將此前的6宗罪被減半為3宗，而薄案最核心部份仍然被掩蓋。
去年日本主流媒體曾披露：是薄熙來親自下殺人令，谷開來毒死海伍德。在薄熙來即將被公審前，海伍德再次成為西方各主流媒體的頭版，更引發外界對海伍德真正死因的關注。
英駐華使館：海伍德家人曾多次索賠
