【吳家翔╱台北報導】基隆市長張通榮因關說酒駕婦女案遭監院彈劾二度未過關，監察院長王建煊今主動拋出震撼彈，認為監察院應關門，引發監院強烈反彈，監委砲轟王不了解來龍去脈就亂發言，難道20幾個監委審查彈劾案都是白痴嗎？幾位監委都痛批王亂講話，有監委更直指王的監察院長位置才是酬庸來的。
王建煊說他因張通榮彈劾案未過關氣得不得了，還認為監察院比雞肋還不如，還主動呼籲立院修憲改革。一名監委反問王，要改革什麼？要列出具體改革目標才對，什麼制度不對要講出來，要監察院關門有什麼理由？這名監委要王不要以偏概全，「整個制度不對在於你（指王）！」
