| 睽違50年 嘉義城隍夜巡諸羅

農曆七月到民間宗教活動多。嘉義市城隍廟在睽違五十年後，將再次重現「城隍爺夜巡諸羅」傳統習俗。先於農曆七月十三日到十五日舉辦超渡法會，招待好兄弟樂遊陽間；農曆八月一日城隍爺將夜巡諸羅，發鹹光餅保平安。夜巡隊伍中，有七爺八爺押鬼囚，還有陽間囚犯載頭鐐手銬坐囚車，更有劊子手拿著有百年歷史的大刀全程護衛，完全以傳統古禮呈現，極為特殊。
