| 民進黨立委提修憲案 廢監察院

民進黨立委李俊俋、陳其邁上午提出廢除堅察院的修憲案，主張現有監院的彈劾、糾舉、審計及調查四項權限，移至立法院，並下設監察使及國家審計委員會。對於外界質疑廢監院顛覆國父遺教，陳其邁反指，當初廢除國民大會時，國、民兩黨早就聯手顛覆國父遺教，不是現在才有。

高鐵擬10月1日漲價，民進黨立委林佳龍質疑，目前高鐵實際費率，已經比交通部今年核定的基本費率還貴，又連續兩年獲利，為何要漲？他呼籲交通部不得放任，否則在開議後，將聯合其他立委提案，凍結高鐵局相關預算。

| 澳鋼鐵巨頭博思格上財年虧損縮小近10億

【大紀元2013年08月20日訊】（大紀元記者祁文澳洲悉尼編譯報導）澳洲最大鋼鐵製造商博思格（BlueScope）鋼鐵公司表示，在重大重組的幫助下，公司上個財政年度的虧損從去年的10.4億澳元縮小到了8410萬。
據澳洲廣播公司報導，博思格首席執行官奧馬利（Paul O'Malley）認為，該公司的財務狀況在本財政年度將進一步改善。他對股票市場說：「儘管目前在國內經濟和全球鋼鐵行業整體交易困難的情況下，我們很高興看到公司扭轉虧損的進展。」
