【陳冠宇／新北報導】潭美颱風挾帶豪大雨侵襲北台灣，淡水渡船頭水位節節高升，白天水位已將一旁馬偕博士銅像淹得只剩半截，昨晚11時適逢大潮，水位更是幾乎將銅像滅頂，警消人員在旁監測水位隨時回報應變中心。

| 中國雞隻潛藏H7N7 禽流感威脅再增

H7N9禽流感病毒威脅仍在之際，香港大學微生物學教授管軼參與撰寫的研究指出，其研究團隊在中國的雞隻上發現另一種H7病毒H7N7，並指H7病毒在禽鳥之間傳播，可導致高致病性的變種病毒出現，並感染人類。實驗顯示H7N7能感染哺乳類動物。管軼表示，如果任由H7N7在雞隻之間傳播，肯定會出現人類感染個案，並指根據實驗結果，估計H7N7會比H7N9導致更嚴重的感染。
