| 嘉義後備部守護地方民眾 協助養護中心老人提前撤離

（軍聞社記者卓以立臺北廿九日電）「康芮」颱風所挾帶的豪大雨，造成嘉義地區淹水，嘉義後備指揮部及竹崎鄉後備軍人輔導中心今晨立即協助「長青老人養護中心」實施預防性撤離，發揮官兵及後備軍人「苦民所苦」的服務精神，維護民眾安全。
嘉義後備指揮部表示，因應「康芮」颱風來襲，該部已派遣災防連絡官進駐縣市政府及各鄉鎮公所，以利迅速掌握當地颱風災情，建構救災兵力申請協調平台，有效落實救災及防災工作。
