2013日月潭國際萬人泳渡活動8日上午在日月潭朝霧碼頭熱鬧登場，上午有1名泳客在泳渡過程中癲癇症發作，送醫後無大礙，下午活動接近尾聲時在水面上發現一具浮具，懷疑有民眾失蹤，幸好後來發現是虛驚一場。
