【綜合報導】一架從中國廣州飛泰國曼谷的泰國航空空中巴士A330-300客機，9日深夜降落曼谷時，因起落架故障衝出跑道並起火，造成14名乘客受傷。由於無法馬上將飛機拖離現場，泰航事後緊急用黑漆塗掉機身和機尾的商標，欲保護形象。泰航解釋，這是遵照泰航所屬的星空聯盟建議，以保護泰航和星空聯盟的形象。
泰航TG679班機，前晚11時載著288名乘客和14名機組員，飛抵泰國最大的蘇汪納普國際機場。商務艙泰籍乘客告訴《曼谷郵報》，飛機降落跑道後傳出巨大聲響，整架飛機朝右邊衝出跑道，機長打開充氣式緊急逃生滑梯疏散所有人員，意外共造成14名乘客受傷，大多是逃命時受傷。
