| 珍愛生命守門人 打造生命守護網

【大紀元2013年09月10日訊】(大紀元記者徐乃義台灣桃園報導)自殺防治為21世紀全球心理衛生工作重點，依世界衛生組織預測在2020年時，全球十大死因中，自殺將排名第9位，全球將有150萬人自殺死亡，顯示自殺防治工作已成為刻不容緩的問題。
桃園衛生局為響應世界衛生組織(WHO)及國際自殺防治學會(IASP)訂定的9月10日「世界自殺防治日」，為強化社區自殺防治行動力並感謝政府與民間部門合作，共同推動「1問、2應、3轉介」珍愛生命守門人之功能，邀請全國自殺防治中心林素如主任及桃縣生命線協會張翠華主任分享工作經驗與支持技巧，及針對本縣13鄉鎮市衛生所志工、4家自殺防治關懷機構及13家自殺防治責任醫院頒發感謝狀，並邀集4大超商代表一同加入「珍愛生命守護站」，期能持續推廣、不分你我一同對自殺防治投入心力、注入希望，以打造生命守護網。
自殺非單一因素造成，可能因家人成員間、伴侶的感情因素，或自身的精神生理狀況等因素，尤以老年人常以獨居及合併罹患慢性或重大疾病問題者，而造成無法調適的難題。
