【綜合報導】美國國會未能通過應急預算案，導致聯邦政府自今天凌晨零時起部分停擺。國會議員紛紛表示，影響最大的就是薪資低且工時長的議員幕僚。
許多國會人員為「必要員工」，這代表若政府停擺，他們也必須來上班。不過根據規定，這些員工得等到運作恢復，才領得到薪資。若為「非必要員工」，這些人員將開始放無薪假，這段期間的薪資不一定拿得到。部分人員會輪著放無薪假與上班。
